Credit cards that earn transferable points currencies are extremely valuable because of the tremendous flexibility they provide. American Express (AmEx) partners with eighteen airlines and three major hotel chains and these partnerships are the key to unlocking the most value from your AmEx Membership Rewards Points.
How To Check Your American Express Application Status Online
If you’ve been playing the credit card game for any length of time being instantly approved for a new credit card application is likely just a distant memory. Instead, “application pending” messages and reconsideration calls are now par for the course.
So as part of my ongoing effort to make myself useful I will provide you with all the tools that you need to turn that “thank you for your application” into a “You’ve been approved!” with the least amount of crying and pulling your hair out.
Here’s an interesting development from my favorite airline awards program based in “America’s top hat.” Air Canada has recently expanded their little-known codeshare partnership with Cathay Pacific and their subsidiary Cathay Dragon and has hinted that soon they will begin allowing redemptions of Aeroplan miles for these flights as well.
I know that there is more to travel than just drinking champagne and watching Despicable Me 2 while hurtling through the sky in an aluminum tube, which is why I like to keep you guys in the loop when a really killer deal that pertains to travel pops up. One such deal has appeared over at Amex offers.
But a strange and wonderful thing happened to me this morning while doing some research. So wonderful in fact that I interrupted my regularly scheduled program on mustache grooming to fire off a quick post bringing you kittens in on the deal.
Amex Offers currently has an offer for $20 back when you make a purchase at amazon.com of $20 or more. In layman’s terms, they want to give you $20.
Amex Offers is a nice little perk for American Express cardholders that provides discounts and rebate offers from participating retailers. All you have to do is register for the offer from your Amex account and then use the registered card to complete the transaction. Both my cuter half and I have Amex cards and I wasted no time in signing us up for this offer (though this particular offer didn’t show up for my business card).
All you need to do to take advantage of this free $20 is register through the American Express site and then make a purchase totaling $20 or more from Amazon by June 6th with your registered Amex card. You can either log into Amex Offers by using the link or log into Amex account and then you should see “Amex Offers For You” somewhere towards the bottom of the page. Your offer lives there.
